♕ Make Up Look ~ Glittery Rainbow Eyes & Lips ♕

June is, internationally, Pride month and thus I decided to make a rainbow look - just like I did last year, when I made a quite simple yet cute rainbow liner look. You can see that look here - sadly I didn't post it on time during last June, but I was determined to post this year's one during June. Looks like I made it - barely, since June is almost over, but I made it XD I had to change the posting schedule actually, because I had a couple of different posts planned to go up before this one... Then I realized that it's almost the end of the month - so I decided to move it up!

This year's rainbow makeup is veeery different from last year's; at the beginning, I thought about re-doing the rainbow liner, because it looked so cool - and I thought I might use glitters as a twist. Then I decided to do something completely different - as you can see - while keeping the same rainbow pattern I used last year (aka starting with red on the inner corner and ending with violet on the outer).

While I kept the upper lid shape really neat and precise, on the lower lid I tried the famous 'glitter tears' effect - which I loved, I plan to use it again in one of my upcoming looks.

The first big step to create this look was create the rainbow base and guide for the later glitter application - as always, I used several eyeshadows to do so. So, after priming my lids, I started off by applying a red shadow on my inner corner - Fahrenheit by NABLA Cosmetics. The eyeshadows sequence is the following: Lazy Days by NABLA Cosmetics,  a discontinued pale yellow pigment next to it, loose eyeshadow in Jade Pearl by NYX Cosmetics, Poolside by Makeup Geek Cosmetics, Baltic by NABLA and lastly Fashion Addict by MUG. The key for achieving a smooth rainbow effect is to carefully blend each shade into the previous & next one. I did this on both my upper and lower lid - and, as I said previously, I kept the upper lid shape very neat, but I blended all the eyeshadows downwards on the lower lid.

Before moving on to the glitters application, I applied my brow bone shade (Antique White) and a touch of highlighter on my inner corners (I used one of NABLA's highlighter, Baby Glow).
Now the fun part: glitters, glitters and more glitters! They're all by GlitterTubes and the sequence is: Darling, Fireball, Brassic (which is a pure gold shade, unfortunately I don't own yellow glitters), Minted, Aquatic, Sonic and Chewee. Must say, I was quite afraid that Brassic, a gold and not yellow, could ruin the whole ensemble. Luckily, it worked out - sure, a real yellow would be more appropriate, but gold can be a sostitute. (Anyway, note to self: get a proper yellow eyeshadow AND some yellow glitters asap XD)
As for the eyeshadows, I tried to blend each shade of glitter with the previous and following one... Easier said than done, as you can see some are more blended than others. I need to practice on that!
Instead, the glitter tears effect was pretty easy to achieve. I just used the leftovers on the brushes with a downwards move. Easy-peasy.
At this point the look was almost complete: I added winged liner (using Tattoo Liner in Trooper by KVD), false lashes (Wispies by Ardel) and applied mascara (Le Film Noir by NABLA).

When I was done with the eye look I thought I could do glittery rainbow lips too! It was the perfect occasion for a matchy matchy lip art ;D
Unlike the eye makeup, where I used eyeshadows and pigments to create the base rainbow, on my lips I used several lip and eye pencil (depending on the shade). The glitters used were exactly the same, though: Darling, Fireball, Brassic, Minted, Aquatic, Sonic and Chewee ( but this time I used lash glue). Easier and quicker to make compared to the eye look, in case you're wondering XD
