Ciao Principesse!
Questa rubrica era ferma da un mesetto e forse vi siete chieste che fine avesse fatto. L'avevo temporaneamente (e volutamente) sospesa per due motivi: il primo era meramente legato ad una questione di tempistiche data dalle feste natalizie, il secondo era che avevo bisogno di riflettere un po' sulla natura stessa di questa rubrichetta.
Quando nacque, più di anno e mezzo fa, la presentai come una rubrica dove avrei mostrato "make up vari": da semplici trucchi realizzati durante la settimana ad altri ispirati a qualcosa/qualcuno.
Col tempo mi sono resa conto però che ciò comportava un bel miscuglio di look e a me col tempo si stavano confondendo le idee. Mi piace essere organizzata il più possibile (anche se non sempre mi riesce, sapevatelo XD) e la vaghezza riguardo le tematiche di questa rubrica cominciava appunto a confondermi. Soprattutto, ho capito di volerla incentrare su eventuali make up realizzati durante la settimana, piuttosto che usarla come contenitore dove ficcare tutto ciò che creo, senza distinzioni.
Da qui la scelta, appunto, di usarla come vetrina per i look settimanali - e di separare eventuali "inspired looks" collocandoli in rubriche appropriate. Una debutterà in meno di due giorni e non ve la spoilero, l'altra invece probabilmente dovrà aspettare ancora un pochino quindi ve la anticipo: si chiamerà semplicemente "Movie Inspired" e raccoglierà i make up che dedico ai film, creati in genere quando vado al cinema - perché mi piace andare a vedere i film con un trucco dedicato *O*
Detto questo, torniamo alla nostra rubrichetta domenicale (la cui pubblicazione passerà al lunedì, a parte oggi che sono un filo in ritardo): oggi vi mostro il primo make up "ufficiale" dell'anno aka quello realizzato giorno 31 Dicembre, con cui ho contemporaneamente salutato il 2015 e dato il benvenuto al 2016 e che, quasi inevitabilmente, è un po' un trucco da sirena :3
The Sunday Make Up section has been paused for a while and maybe you've been wondering why. I temporarily (and deliberately) suspended it for two main reasons: first of all, I had little free time during December because of Christmas holidays, but I also needed some time to think about about this section itself.
When I created it, more than one year and a half ago, I introduced it as a section for "various make up": both normal looks created during the week but also inspired looks.
After a while, I realized that it was a mess: too many mixed looks! I started feeling a little concerned about it - I like being as much organized as I can (even though I fail sometimes, mind you XD) and this section theme was just too vague, it was a little confusing. Most of all, I realized I wanted it to be focused on weekly looks, rather than being just a huge container for all of my makeups with no distinctions.
This is why I decided to use this section only for my weekly, generic looks - and to split any other "inspired look", create new proper sections for them. One will debut in less than two days - so no spoilers! - but the other one probably will have to wait a little, therefore I can disclose it: it'll be named simply "Movie Inspired" and will feature all my movie inspired looks, of course! I usually create them when I go to the cinema, because I love seeing a movie with a matching make up *O*
That being said, let's go back to Sunday Make Up section (which from now on will be published on Monday, apart from today because I'm slightly late!): today I'm going to show you the very first, official make up the year aka the one I made on December 31th, with whom I said goodbye to 2015 and hello to 2016 - which is also, of course, a mermaid look! :3
