♕ Holiday Make Up ♕

Holidays are now over (sigh!) but I still have to show you the look I wore on Christmas Night! Dishonor on me, dishonor on my cow XD Seriously, excuse me for the awful delay - but here it is at last! Better late than never I guess ^^"

Christmas Eve was crazy a day - I had tons of things to do, stuff to cook and so on - I had very little spare time left for my make up. I had to get ready very quickly, as you can imagine, and thus it was not the moment to experiment and try new styles/techniques. But! It was the right occasion to try one look by MrDanielMakeUp - precisely, one of his holiday make up looks. I chose the one that featured my current obsession aka the Dazzle Liner in Klimt, paired with red and warm shades (here you can watch his tutorial on YT).
It felt quite Christmas-y, and since anytime is a good time to use Klimt... I decided to give it a try!

I had just a small problem with this look: apart for Klimt, it didn't include any other NABLA product (and since the major part of my stash consists of their products, it makes things tricky sometimes). So, to properly recreate it, I had to rack my brains and find the most fitting NABLA shadows. Luckily for me, it didn't take me long to figure it out and pick up the right shades. I had to do some layering - and in the rush I forgot a little detail on the outer corner - but overall I'm pretty satisfied with the final result. Let me know your thoughts!

As always, eyeliner first. Since I was in a big hurry, I used the Shadow Insurance (slightly quicker to apply, compared to the Crème Shadow in Morning Glory). The I did a first layer of colour by applying Fahrenheit all over the lid - it's matte but it's also a red shade, and since I decided to stay colour accurate instead of finish accurate, I had to add a different shade. So I applied right over it the eyeshadow in Juno Moon - shimmering but closer to the original shade Daniel used. I did the same on the lower lid.

I blended those shades with Petra into the crease and on the outer corner, creating a soft, smooth V shape. I blended Petra with Narciso and, as transition shade, I also used Peach Velvet. Brow bone shadow is Antique White as usual.

Eyeliner time: I drew a pretty classic, winged but also bold line using the Dazzle Liner in Klimt. I still can't get over its beauty and formula perfection ♥___♥
At this point I was supposed to add like a second, teeny tiny wing right below - a nice detail I sadly forgot ç_ç
On the inner corner I used three different eyeshadows: a mix of Snowberry and Luna first, then I applied a copious dose of Sensuelle - I really wanted it to be glittery! It was Christmas night, after all.
I applied Nocturne on my lower lashline and a black eyepencil on the waterline (Daniel used a purple one, which I don't have - I just use black, whoops XD). As always, I completed the look with false lashes and mascara,

Despite my efforts, it still looks very different from Daniel's version - yet I love how it turned out! Klimt is so eye-catching (as always after all XD) and makes every makeup look unique - plus, the reddish shades and the glitter touch were a perfect match to create a Christmas look. I just wish I wasn't in such a hurry, so I wouldn't have forgotten that small detail D:
All things considered, I had so much fun reproducing this look and it was a nice choice for the occasion!
