♕ Review ♕ Alkemilla ~ Latte Doposole Cocco & Monoi ♕

Ciao Principesse!

Today I'm going to talk about a lovely product I used both last summer and this summer - I wanted to review it last year but I ended up being sooo late, and I postponed it to the following year, that is now XD It's the AfterSun Lotion by Alkemilla Eco Bio Cosmetic, that I purchased last year on LecosBio :D

I must admit I've always underestimated the aftersun, although I'm very fair skinned and I always take so much care of my sensitive, easy-to-burn skin. But when I started using this product regularly I realized I had to give much more importance to it.

The purpose of an aftersun lotion is to soothe and refresh the skin after every exposure to the sun (in fact it doesn't contain any kind of sun blockers nor has any SPF, since it isn't supposed to be used during the exposure) and must not be underestimated, because it can really, really help a lot - both those who has very sensitive and fair skin like mine and those who have a more tanning prone skin.

Alkemilla's AfterSun Lotion is a white fluid, neither too thick nor too liquid, easy to apply, not greasy, sticky or oily. It is packed in a quite sturdy container, with a disk top cap that is quite handy to dose the product.
It's really moisturizing and soaks up into the skin quickly, without leaving any traces on bikinis/dresses/fabric. It soothes and refresh, you can feel it while applying it on the skin. It's a restoring and relaxing treat, it ended up to be an essential step in my summer routine. My skin tends to absorb a lot the heat (although I spend most of my time into the water) and sometimes I really feel boiled. This product helped me to fight this awful sensation, relieving my skin and removing that annoying boiled-like feeling.
I noticed that it can soothe the skin in case of small sun irritation, but in case of more severe sun burn you'll need something more effective (of course) like aloe vera gel, for example.

The smell is simply paradisiacal, it's the thing I love most of this product *-* If you like/love Monoi smell this is the right aftersun for you! When it comes to monoi, I can't resist XD I love it so much, it makes me think about seashores and peaceful, crystalline seas.
In this case the fragrance is really long lasting, I could smell it even after various hours.

After the application, the skins feels silky, moisturized, cooled down and nicely smelling. And, since it's spf-less, I could be used as a normal soothing body lotion :D
The quantity/price ratio is good, I bought this product during summer 2014 and it lasted until the end of summer 2015. It's pao is quite long (12 months), technically it slightly passed the expiry date but nontheless it looked just fine, with no changes in terms of colour, texture or smell.

I liked a lot this product and I highly recommend it, I'm going to purchase it again as soon as summer 2016 arrives :D

Valutazione Finale: 6 su 6 conchiglie / Final Rating: 6 out of 6 shells

I hope this review can be useful somehow, although the summer is already ending :D
Do you regularly use an aftersun lotion? Or you just skip it?  Also, what's the smell that makes you think about the seaside most? Mine is monoi, and yours? :D
